Kenneth McIlroy, BSc, MSc (died 21 June 2019, aged 83)

Ken grew up in Belfast and went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s, graduating in 1957. Following graduation he followed the love of his life, Anne and her family to Canada when they immigrated. Ken went on to marry Anne and have two children, Michael and Sandy.
Ken completed a Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Toronto before moving to Williamsville in New York State.
He retired from Praxair in 1997. During retirement, Ken enjoyed playing golf, having coffee at his gym with his friends, fishing at the beach in Florida, and travelling with Anne.
Ken has been survived by his wife Anne, children Michael and Sandy, and five grandchildren.
