Dr Khoo Chong Yew (died on 16 November 2017)
Dr Khoo was a well-known and respected ophthalmologist who contributed to the early days of the Singapore National Eye Centre and the Department of Ophthalmology at NUH. From 1985 to 1987 Dr Khoo served two terms as president of the Singapore Medical Association. His late wife, Mrs Ellen Khoo, was Irish and a founder member of IGAS.
