Queen's University Association, Scotland (QUAS)
Purpose
QUAS brings together Queen's graduates living in Scotland through a series of stimulating and sociable events which are open to members and their families and friends. These include annual lectures by eminent speakers and our popular annual lunch. Eddie Friel, the recently appointed Director of Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy at Queen's, is scheduled to speak at the annual lunch and lecture being held on Friday 1st November 2024 in the Apex Hotel, Waterloo Place, in Edinburgh.
The Association has already planned a range of events for the coming year:
Visit to Scottish Parliament - 19th April
AGM - 10th May
Talk on "Life beyond the Lanyon: Lessons learned at Queen's University Belfast" by Phoebe Williams - 23rd May
Talk on Irish genealogy by Jill Williams - 6th June
Visit to Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre - September
Annual Lunch and Lecture - Apex Hotel Edinburgh - 1st November
Events organised by Trinity College Dublin Association Scotland are also open to members of QUAS.
