Dr Jack McCluggage, MB BCh BAO 1965 (died August 31, 2015, aged 74)

Born in Larne Jack McCluggage was educated at Larne Grammar School and at Queen's University, where he graduated in medicine in 1965.
He worked for some time as a GP in Cherryvalley and later joined the Department of General Practice at Queen's, which was responsible for the training of GPs, where he became postgraduate dean.
He is survived by his wife Cathryn, a doctor at Bangor Health Centre, and by his son Marcus, a solicitor in London and by his daughter-in-law Sophie and grandchildren Rory and Lara Rose.
