- Businessman Mark Ennis – for his contribution to local business and to the University (2000)
- British Airways pilot Captain Bill Hagan – for saving the lives of 400 passengers following a cockpit takeover bid (2001)
- Kilkeel GP Dr Alan Poots – for winning the UK Doctor of the Year (2002)
- Armagh GAA captain Kieran McGeeney – for team leadership & national recognition (2003)
- The late Tyrone Gaelic captain Cormac McAnallen – for personal leadership & achievement (2004)
- Dr Marion Gibson - for her work in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami (2005)
- The late Dr Wesley Finegan - for his award-winning book ‘Being a Cancer Patient’s Carer’ (2006)

- Mr Jonny Bramley (2016) - Executive producer for the BBC specialising in major sporting events, recognised for his significant contribution to over 25 years of broadcasting and sport.

- Lauren Buchanan, from Omagh – for her work with Habitat for Humanity, the Methodist Society, and an after school youth club on the Shankhill Road (2004)

- Michael Connolly from Fermanagh and Philip Toner from South Belfast – for setting up ‘ABC for Life’ (2006)
- Yu Huai Zhang (known as Neo) – who was British Council International Student of the Year, and was also recognised for his volunteering efforts and Student Executive role while at Queen’s (2007)

- Diane Murdock (2016) - Computer Science student recognised as a gifted individual, an exemplary master’s student and leader who is both academically and technically respected by her peers and lecturers.
- Gary Mitchell (2017) - a Phd student from the School of Nursing and Midwifery who graduated for a fourth time from Queen's. Chosen for his contribution to the University, the nursing profession and those with dementia.
