Did you know that your student email address will remain available to you for as long as you need it? All email accounts will remain active for two years after graduation after which point those found not to have been used for six months will be considered inactive and will be deleted.
Terms and conditions of use
- Once you graduate, as an Alumni you will only retain email access; Office365 access (including OneDrive), Canvas & QOL access will be terminated as will other IT services as deemed appropriate.
- Your mailbox is not to be used for business purposes; you must not use your Alumni email address to impersonate a student; your Alumni email address is not transferable and you agree that you will not permit others to access your account.
- Queen's only support accessing your mailbox via web browser, we do not support the use of an email client; access is only via https://outlook.office.com/
- IT Service Desk Support is only available 09:00-17:00, Mon-Fri excluding University holidays & closure day's
- Queen's do not and cannot guarantee the quality of service in terms of performance or availability, your use of the service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis and your mailbox is not backed up by Queen’s.
- Queen’s will endeavour to retain your QUB email address for a minimum of 2 years after which the mailbox may be deleted if it is inactive for >6 months ; it is your responsibility to keep your mailbox active, if deleted it is unrecoverable after 30 days
- Your mailbox is in the Microsoft Cloud so may be impacted by factors outside the control of Queen’s

- Queen's is not responsible for the content of email messages or attachments, either sent or received via the email service.
- Queen's reserves the right to withdraw the email service if future circumstances (technical, legal, financial or of any other nature) make it expedient to do so. Reasonable warning in advance of any general cessation will be given.
- Access to the service may be terminated without prior notice for any reason and you agree that Queen's may immediately de-activate or delete your account and/or bar any further access to the service and/or reject any email messages to your terminated Alumni email address.
- Queen's shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the service.
- Queen's reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
- You agree that Queen's shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the service.
